Starting at 10.00 the Cleethorpes Super Prix is active in promoting Youth Racing and the Under 12 Boys & Girls ride together, getting this fantastic day of racing underway, racing for 20 minutes on the same circuit as the senior riders. Some of these young Riders could be our stars of the future and it is a great opportunity for these youngsters to race in front of such a huge crowd.
A favourite with the Crowd, its great to see the sheer determination of these youngsters and the Cleethorpes circuit will be a real challenge. Give them your biggest cheers.
There are limited opportunities for Youths to race on such a big stage and expect Riders to travel from far and wide.
There are prizes for the top 3 Boys & top 3 Girls.
This 30 minute Youth Race gets rolling at 10.30 and is for Under 14 Boys.
It is so important to give new up and coming Riders the opportunity to showcase their talent in front of a big crowd and importantly team managers who are looking for future potential. As these Riders are now starting to mature the longer Race will push them much harder.
This will be a cracker with these young men all fired up to take this prestigious win and this race is chance for these young men to show the maturity, racecraft and raw talent they have learnt over the long season of racing.

The Under 14 & Under 16 Girls start pedaling at 11:15 for what will be a hard fought 30 minute Race offering prizes in each category.
Although there maybe a two year age difference between these two groups, don’t take it as red that the older riders will have it their own way, Women’s Youth Racing is developing very fast and these new riders are determined to make their mark.
To help the spectators see who is who, the Riders ages / classes will be identified by different coloured race numbers (see the event programme).
This 40 minute Youth A U16 Race starting at 12.00 will probably be one of the most exciting and hotly contested of the day. The difference between the U14 and the U16 is like chalk and cheese as these tremendous young athletes start to really develop physically and turn into young men. Most of these boys will be seasoned Racers and have already set their sights to professional careers in the Sport.
With lots on offer and Riders knowing that the top team Directeur Sportifs are present and all paying attention and always wanting to strengthen their squads, this is a Race that could potentially change someone’s career!

The only problem with Cycling is you can keep fit, but you cant stop yourself getting old. With this in mind, Cleethorpes have recognised that these super talented, super fit veterans should all be racing on a level playing field.
Now don’t get me wrong, these guys aren’t slow, they are ultra fast, and many still have a point to prove, and scores to settle. They are canny and experienced and hard as nails and expect some fast close Racing from the Riders in this category. This is an ultra-competitive Race
Although we only offer Prize Money for the overall Winner there are class awards for age groups: 40 – 44, 45 -49 and 50 +
All the Riders lining up will be 40 + and even though there will be many ex-champions in the field, this Race will cater for novices who started Racing later in life.

Velocity Events have been instrumental working with prime movers in Women’s Cycling in offering not only an unmatched prize package and equal status to the Men but three separate Women’s Races . Offering three separate competitive Races results in higher numbers in each individual race and the Women’s Cat 3 /4 Race is set to be the best attended Women’s Cat 3 / 4 Crit in the country.
A fantastic 50 minute Race starting at 14.15 gives a rare opportunity for Cat 3 and 4 Women Riders to race against each other without being in the shadow of the E, 1 & 2 riders.
The Cleethorpes Super Prix has created another platform to enable these talented up and coming riders to show their ability against equal competition.
With a fantastic Prize Fund and the winner taking away as big cash prize we again expect a massive entry so, make sure we receive your entry early to book your place.
The Men’s 3rd & 4th category is the most popular and mainly caters for talented, experienced local & regional racers and up and coming Junior U18 riders wishing to try and make a name for themselves. It also attracts new riders having a go for the first time. The race starts at 15.15 and will cover about 30 laps of the 1.7 km circuit, lasting 50 minutes.
In this Race also watch out for the highest place Junior U18 Rider who will win the coveted FLYING FISH JUNIOR AWARD and goes home with a portion of Fish, Chips and Peas.
Such is the speed and talent of these up and coming Junior Riders, it is not unusual to see an U18 Rider taking the Race win overall, but there are many super fit Riders who will have other ideas, especially as there is a big cash prize fund.
This category is so popular that a full field of 100 riders will start and there is a reserve list of riders hoping to get a ride on the day.
In 2014, event organisers – Velocity Events – took the bold step to raise the profile of Women’s Racing offering equal status and equal prize money to that of the Men and this gallant move really helped promote Women’s Racing and Cycling in the UK and now Women are starting to enjoy equal terms in more and more events that are following Velocity’s lead.
Continuing to help support this growth, the highlight and the second of two Women only Races, this 1 hour race is for Women Elite, 1, 2, starting at 16.15 which will be a great chance to watch some of the best female riders & teams in the country and from overseas competing head to head.
The Race will attract several big ‘names’ and make no bones about it, the Racing of the Women is just as cut and thrust as the Men.
We are again proud to be supporting Women’s cycling and by promoting these races and working with the Teams, this will be one of the biggest & most prestigious Women’s events of the year. We expect to be oversubscribed well before closing date, so get your entry in early.
The finale of the day is the Men’s Elite Race. This Race will attract some of the best criterium racers and teams in the country and will literally ‘set the circuit alight’. This Race is open to Elite / 1 / 2 Riders.
Make no mistake these boys are fast and live sport doesn’t get much more exciting than this.
It’s a fast circuit and they will push hard for the win, expect thrills and spills as the race gets underway at 17:30 and will last 1 hour. With a huge prize fund to be offered, a great atmosphere and personal pride at stake, the Top Elites will be fighting this one out to the bitter end with the Winner taking the cash and the coveted Cleethorpes Super Prix Trophy.
The day will be rounded off with prize presentations and inevitably a few pints of Super Prix Ale. We are hoping for good weather and some great racing.
We expect to be oversubscribed, so book your place now by clicking below.
Please note: We are also limiting the entries to 6 Riders per team.
