Cleethorpes RNLI Lifeboat Station, located on the south bank of the Humber Estuary is home to a 5m D Class IB1 inshore lifeboat “James Burgess II”.
This lifeboat arrived on station in December 2012. It is the second lifeboat to have been gifted to the RNLI by the Burgess family of North Yorkshire, and named in memory of their son and brother, James.
The volunteer crew members, shore helpers and tractor drivers are on call 24 hours a day to ensure that the lifeboat is capable of launching when the call for help comes.
The RNLI is a charity, independent from Government, and continues to rely on voluntary contributions and legacies for its income.
The day we have put on here in Cleethorpes is FREE… please at least donate what you can to RNLI Cleethorpes.
